As of 2024, the prestigious PH Group Medals will also be awarded to the top three LLB cum laude graduates at each of the IIE’s Varsity College and IIE MSA campuses.
The prestigious PH Group Honour Medal programme, established in 2010, rewards exceptional academic performance and inspires current bachelor of laws (LLB) students to excel during their studies.
Until recently the medals were awarded to law graduates who obtain a minimum average mark of 75 percent for their LLB degrees at nine public universities.
As of this year, they will also be awarded to the top three LLB cum laude graduates at each of the IIE’s Varsity College and IIE MSA campuses.
Lesley Mokgoro, CEO of PH Attorneys, said: “We place a high premium on academic excellence, and we encourage our practitioners to pursue their postgraduate studies. Awarding the PH Group Honour Medal to the top three IIE LLB graduates is a means of rewarding excellence and allowing Private Higher Education Institutions to take their seat at the table along with public South African universities. We believe in inclusivity and diversity while striving to encourage academic prowess in the interests of the South African legal system.”
