Code4kids, an educational platform that equips teachers with the skills and
tools required to bring coding, robotics, and IT education to students aged 5-15, has announced
its partnership with Nature Connect, a leading environmental education organisation.
The collaboration aims to introduce an innovative coding course with a focus on
environmental sustainability, enhancing Code4kids’ extensive, real-world curriculum. As a leader
in teacher-focused training, Code4kids plans to leverage this partnership to provide
transformative education to its network of schools and teachers.
The new course, fully integrated into the Code4kids platform, seamlessly combines
sustainability education with coding. Learners will engage with immersive videos, interactive
quizzes, and hands-on projects to explore crucial aspects of environmental sustainability. They
will then apply their coding skills, using industry-relevant languages like HTML, CSS, and JS, to
create websites that reflect their newfound knowledge.
This course will give Nature Connect’s network of schools access to Code4Kids’ cutting-edge
coding curriculum, allowing more teachers and students to learn crucial coding skills while
delving into sustainability.
“The collaboration between Code4kids and Nature Connect provides an exciting opportunity for
us to expand the scope of our curriculum to include much needed topics around environmental
sustainability,” says Matthew Henshall, CEO at Code4kids.
